The Primary Bathroom
Homeowner’s original primary bathroom was a 40 year old disaster. It had pink carpet next to a sunken tub. The original shower was the size of a telephone booth. It was also enclosed with the toilet and a very squeaky pocket door that made noise whenever it was opened or shut
During our consultation, we talked about removing the pocket door and making it into a pony wall for privacy when using the facilities. This helped open the space up and make it more inviting. We also talked about the closet mirror doors and if they wanted this to be closed back up or left open with a barn door to close the bathroom up.

The homeowner wanted their primary bathroom to feel bright and airy with an Organic Modern design with lots of beiges and browns with contrasting black matte hardware. They wanted spots of color with live plants so we also added a quartz countertop with some sparkling glam mica.

Organic modern style is a harmonizing style of blending modern minimalism with nature’s beauty. This design duo introduces warm neutral tones, rich textures and natural materials into cool contemporary spaces for a nurturing yet elegant aesthetic—the best of both worlds.
The Design Plan

“Design is not just what it looks like and feels like. Design is how it works”

One of the client’s request was that they did not want to a bench seat, which has been the industry standard for many years. Instead they wanted a higher platform to add potted plants and that it had to be long enough to store their bath products
